Instagram is often a far more effective channel than emailing independent retailers, who often don’t reply on email. This is because cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. often receive DMs from their customers, and maintain a pretty active social presence. In fact, many brands of ours used to DM retailers manually before they found our system.
Yes! In fact, many customers of ours often send from the founder’s personal instagram, or a sales rep’s account. As long as the personal Instagram account reasonably demonstrates a link to the company (e.g. the bio says founder of X or there are posts about the product in the photos, etc.) this does not affect the reply rate at all. We’ve seen this pattern across thousands of DMs.
